Every winter there is a sprinkling of cold bitter days where we’re forced to become hermits. I mean, who wants to leave the warmth of their cozy home when it’s dipping below zero degrees outside?! No one!
On these days, the last thing you want to do is drive across town to get your coffee fix. So leave your frost covered car in your driveway, throw on your slipper boots and pull out the ingredients to make this Gingerbread Latte at home!
After a few minutes of whisking, your home will smell like a bakery and you will wonder why you ever overpaid for such a simple drink! After pouring the latte in a mug, you are ready to settle into your daily routine to sip your shivers away.
Gingerbread Latte
Ingredients:
- 2 C. milk
- 1.5 C. black coffee
- 3 Tbs. maple syrup
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Whipped cream
Directions:
- In a small pan, simmer the milk, maple syrup and spices for 2 minutes
- Remove from heat and stir in the coffee
- Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream
