One of the highlights of hosting sleepovers when I was young were the make-your-own pizza stations. My mom would buy mini pizza crusts and an array of toppings so we could make our own mini creations.
Recently, Ian and I were at a loss of what to do for our date night. Then I remembered these pizza party sleepovers and ran out to the store to pick up a few ingredients. When I got home Ian had put on a record and we began decorating our personalized pizza!
It was a low-key date night, but we enjoyed spending time in the kitchen together. We even turned up the music volume and had an impromptu pajama dance party in the kitchen while our pizza was in the oven. It just goes to show sleepover parties are always a good idea – even when you’re an adult!
Homemade Pizza
- Prepare your pizza dough or purchase a pre-made crust (we chose a Boboli thin crust)
- Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over the crust
- Top with shredded cheese
- Layer with your desired toppings (we went with black olives, pepperoni, and spinach)
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 450˙
- Let cool and serve
That looks great!
