I’m guilty of being a creature of habit. Once I find an item I like on a menu it’s game over. That will be my order every time. Ian shakes his head since he loves ordering something new every time, but my theory is why take a risk when you know you found something you love?
Funnily enough, this theory does not carry over to desserts. I want to try ALL the desserts. I mean, who wouldn’t?
Anyways, back to the Titletown Turkey Club. This sandwich has been my go-to order at a local restaurant. I love the combination of crunchy bacon and sharp Dijon mustard. Then one night over dinner, I was savoring my sandwich when I realized – I could make this myself! At first I was giddy that I could enjoy this at home, then I felt a pit in my stomach realizing I had been paying $10 for a simple sandwich…In my defense the restaurant has a great atmosphere, and you can’t put a price on that, right?
