Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini

Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini

I know what you are thinking, “Frozen hot in winter?! She must be crazy.” Well, you might be right, but keep an open mind! With a shot of baileys or crème de menthe, this frozen drink still has the ability to warm you up. Plus, as a hostess this drink offers the benefit of combining an after dinner drink with dessert. And we all know what that means – fewer dishes and more time to spend with guests.

Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini

While frozen hot chocolate martinis are fun to serve at a party, they are just as delicious to eat out of a bowl while watching a movie. Just skip the martini glass and shot of alcohol and you have yourself a quick, one-bowl dessert that you can enjoy any time you are craving something sweet.

Holiday Gift Set: Homemade Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows

Homemade Hot Chocolate Gift Set

Homemade hot chocolate was a winter staple in our home growing up. Topped with mini marshmallows and a graham cracker for dunking, a mug of hot chocolate was the perfect way to warm up from a day of sledding or doing chores on the farm. Sadly, it has been awhile since I’ve made a batch of hot chocolate to enjoy, but when I was racking my brain for Christmas gift ideas I decided to dust off the family recipe.

Homemade Hot Chocolate Gift Set

Since the recipe makes a fairly large batch of hot chocolate mix you will have enough to gift as well as keep some for yourself! Paired with homemade marshmallows, you can bundle the hot chocolate up into a mini gift set! If all this isn’t enough, feel free to completely spoil your recipient and add a coffee mug into the mix. This gift is sure to knock the socks off anyone on your holiday list!

Frozen Baileys Hot Chocolate

Frozen Hot Chocolate

Nestled in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket, Mary’s Milk Bar is a quaint café known for their frozen hot chocolate. When Ian and I were visiting his family in Scotland this summer, I popped in the café to see if this drink held up to all the hype – and if this post is any indication – it did!

Frozen Hot Chocolate

Frozen hot chocolate is an interesting concept, since it combines opposites. Cold ice cream with piping hot chocolate. Crazy? Maybe, but it is delicious! You just have to make sure to enjoy it soon after the ice cream is added, otherwise you are left with a lukewarm drink.

Frozen Hot Chocolate

Today I’m taking an adult spin on frozen hot chocolate and adding a shot of baileys. However, this is just as delicious non-alcoholic. Enjoy!
