The trees have confirmed fall has arrived. While the change in season calls for a wardrobe update (hello knit sweaters!) it also signals a change in signature cocktails. Say farewell to the fruity summer cocktail and hello to this rich maple bourbon cider cocktail!
I look forward to sipping on a warm cup of apple cider every fall, so I was surprised this was the first time I incorporated it into a cocktail! I asked Ian to taste test my new concoction and he gave it two thumbs-up, so it has been approved to be served to house guests (yay!)
Here is how you can make your own maple bourbon cider cocktail at home!
- Fill two tumblers and a cocktail shaker with ice
- Add 3 oz burbon, 3/4 cup apple cider, and 2 Tb maple syrup to cocktail shaker
- Shake well and strain into tumblers
- Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and an apple wedge if desired
