As a child, Valentine’s Day came with high levels of excitement. I couldn’t wait to get to school, pass out my valentines and anticipate all of the cards and sweets I would receive in return. It was a day dedicated to appreciating friendships and eating way too much candy. It’s easy to see why this was one of my favorite holidays!

As time went on, the childhood tradition of passing out valentine’s came to an end and with it, the magic of the holiday. In an effort to bring back my favorite part about Valentine’s Day, I created these free printable postcards. Download the file, print them front and back on cardstock, trim to size and write a sweet message to a friend! I guarantee these postcards will bring a smile to their face!

Conversation Heart Ornament

As I was walking through the craft aisle at Michael’s, I found this heart ornament. After confessing my love of heart-shaped items, it’s no surprise that I left the store with the ornament in my bag. I played around with the idea of decorating it with a monogram or our wedding date, but in the end, I decided to make a reversible conversation heart ornament.

Hung on a door knob, this simple DIY adds a subtle Valentine’s Day touch to your living space. Feel like freshening things up? Simply twist the twine around to reveal a second message on the back!

Conversation Heart Ornament

Materials:

Clay heart ornament
Acrylic paint
Paint Brushes
Pencil

Directions:

Lightly write out your message with a pencil
Using a small paint brush, paint over the penciled writing
Let dry, then gently erase visible pencil marks
Flip over and repeat with another message

Having a difficult time thinking of a Valentine’s Day gift? Try putting together a small themed gift basket! Things have been hectic around here lately, so relaxation was on my mind.
