Hosting Thanksgiving dinner? Surprise your guests with this warm mulled cider cocktail! It’s a simple recipe, and if that wasn’t a big enough bonus, it also leaves your house smelling of warm spices.
Want to make this kid-friendly? Simply skip the rum! The rich flavors of the mulled spices will still make this warm beverage a family favorite. Next on the list to try – mulled wine! I have a feeling that may make an appearance at our Christmas party!
Mulled Apple Cider
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 C. rum
- Place all of the ingredients in a large pot on the stove
- Simmer for 45-60 minutes
- Remove from heat and strain out the cinnamon sticks, cloves and orange slices
- Serve warm or cold!
