Bourbon Caramel Corn

Bourbon Caramel Corn

Fathers can be the hardest people to buy gifts for. Either their hobbies are too expensive for your price range, or they have a non-existent “wish-list” since they buy everything they want themselves.

Bourbon Caramel Corn

Thankfully, food is always a welcomed gift. Given that November is my father’s birthday month, I recently had a brainstorm session to think up a creative gift for the man who has everything and wants nothing.

Bourbon Caramel Corn

My father has a sweet spot for caramel corn, so I decided to take a modern spin on a classic treat – Bourbon Caramel Corn. While you might be concerned that the bourbon will be overpowering, I can assure you that the alcohol kick is boiled off and you are left with a subtle flavoring. Enjoy!

Maple Butter

Maple Butter

When you are married you have to make sacrifices. For me, this comes in the form of keeping my husband company while he watches Packer games. At times the excitement of the game will catch my attention, but I usually pass the time by scrolling through Pinterest.

This past Sunday the Packers lost their undefeated title to the Broncos, but the game had a silver lining. I came across this recipe to make Maple Butter at home! Yes, maple butter?! I can confirm that it tastes as good as it sounds!

Maple Butter

I heard maple butter pairs perfectly with other breakfast items, so I may have to spoil Ian this weekend and whip up a batch of waffles and try out the combination.

For those who want to give the gift of homemade maple butter, I designed a free printable label. Enjoy!
