With the onset of autumn I get a craving for everything and anything pumpkin. With a can of pumpkin puree and a few shakes of pumpkin spice, you can transform a traditional snickerdoodle recipe into a seasonal treat. Cut down on the cookie rolling time and ask your significant other or children to help out! This was a real hit in our house. Just make sure everyone has clean hands!
*Tip: Stir in 1/2 cup pumpkin puree in your cookie dough mixture. Also swap out the cinnamon for pumpkin spice.
Coming off an incredible weekend catching up with my college friends the work week seemed to fly by. I found myself sitting at my desk and smiling as I recalled our Milwaukee adventure. How I wish we all lived closer together! As we head into the weekend I am looking forward to decorating our home for Autumn and finally taking a trip to the pumpkin patch. The onset of fall is routinely celebrated with a family trip to Ski Hi, an apple orchard outside the Wisconsin Dells. I look forward to this day all year since it means one thing – the start of caramel apple season! Ski Hi is perched on top a hill, so you get to enjoy your choice of caramel apple or apple cider donut with a gorgeous view.
