As we travel deeper into the winter season it is becoming harder to discern 4 p.m. from 8 p.m. In years past, I would get home and turn on all of the lights in an attempt to expel darkness from our apartment. I felt like I was fighting a losing battle, so I decided to take a new approach this year. I tried dimming the lights, putting on warm slippers, and lighting a few candles around the house. Strangely enough, after a few nights I found I wasn’t dreading our dark evenings anymore. They became a time to slow down, snuggle under a blanket, and catch up on quiet activities. Ian and I read books, played guitar, and pulled out our board games.
While I will always prefer the sun setting later in the day, I’ve found comfort in embracing the changes between seasons. Instead of gathering up our gear to play tennis after work, we enjoy time spent nestled within our apartment. To celebrate this change in mindset, I designed four printable candle labels. Placed on any store-bought candle, these labels add a boutique vibe to your home decor. Enjoy them within your own home, or use the labels to make an inexpensive, yet thoughtful gift to give a friend this holiday season.
To use, please download the free printable winter candle labels and print on white sticker paper. Trim to size following the cutting guide, peel off the sticker backing, and place on your candle. Enjoy!
