In an attempt to cherish the outdoors before the weather turns bitter, Ian and I drove to a vineyard five minutes down the road. It is nestled at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, which produced a picturesque backdrop for the live music event. Ian and I spent the evening sipping on wine, warming up by the crackling fire and watching the sunset. The night was a perfect transition from the blistering music festivals of summer to the quitter evening of autumn.

Indian Lake
Ian and I have been making frequent trips back home for wedding planning meetings. On our most recent trip we stopped by Indian Lake for a quick hike (it ended up taking 2 hours). The hike takes you through a gorgeous meadow surrounding the lake and winds up into the woods. It’ a great way to enjoy the nice weather and sneak in a weekend workout. Here are a few pictures we snapped along the way. Hope you enjoy!
Friday Favorites
I have been day dreaming about our trip to Florida the entire week. The sunshine and salty air was a pleasant change from the below freezing temperatures back home. While in Florida we tried to soak up as much sun as we could with trips to the beach, lazy days by the pool, and family dinners out on the patio.
This weekend Ian and I will be taking another trip, but this time our destination won’t require a sundress. We are headed down to Chicago! So let’s keep our fingers crossed we don’t get stuck in a snow storm on our drive! Hope you all have a great weekend!
