Wildflower Place Setting

Guys, we made it! It is finally spring! While it might be a few weeks before I can pack my winter coat away, the hope of warmer weather is enough to make me giddy.

I love spring since it is the season of rebirth. The birds start chirping and flower buds peek out of the ground, promising beautiful blooms are to come. I’ve always been a lover of wildflowers (see my wedding bouquet for confirmation!) and I wanted to share the joy of flowers with place settings!

Wildflower Place Setting:

Fill a mini envelope (3×2 inches) with wildflower seeds & seal shut
Print out the wildflower place setting file and trim to size
Glue paper onto the front of the envelope & let dry
Once dry, write down a guest’s name on the front

St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Straw Flags

This year Ian and I will be celebrating a low-key St. Patrick’s day. We had toyed around with the idea of traveling to Chicago last weekend (I’ve yet to see the river green!) but decided to save our hotel points and opted to stay home to watch House of Cards. #priorites

I look forward the little holidays scattered throughout the year since they generate a sense of excitement. Even if you don’t throw a huge party, you can infuse elements into your routine that remind you it’s not a mundane day – it’s a holiday!

These shamrock straw flags are the perfect example. What once was a boring straw is now a festive drink flag! Place them in your beverage of choice and enjoy!

Directions:

Print out the St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Straw Flag file and cut along the black lines.
Wrap a flag around a straw and secure with a glue stick.
Repeat.

Grab your free download here and print out a set of cards for each guest. Instruct your guests to write their answers on the back of the cards and place in a container. Set time aside during the night to go through all the votes and have fun looking back on 2015.
