Friday Favorites

We have entered the holiday season at work. No, we are not a bunch of Christmas enthusiasts, (even though I love the holiday!) but our editorial schedule has the advertising team working a few months ahead. While I love tinsel, glitter wrapping paper, and giant silk bows, a long day of editing photos can be exhausing. To compensate, I filled my free time with bubble baths, strolling through an apple orchard, and star gazing.

How do you treat yourself after a long week? I would love to hear!

My thoughts seem to be going a mile a minute lately, so Ian and I planned a few outings to clear my head and enjoy the day. We attended a local grape stomp, sipped on wine samples and consumed a lot of cheese! Then a few days later we headed off to the zoo and were surprised with an opportunity to feed the giraffes. I tried to stay calm, but I pretty much ran to the exhibit! Who wouldn’t want to feed a giraffe?!

Here are a few more snapshots from the last two weeks.

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Love is a Fairytale

Fairytale Print

I was scrolling through my Instagram feed when I came across this anonymous quote. It immediately made me think of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” music video. Anyone else watch that on repeat? Major high school flashbacks right now!

It may just be the sappy romantic in me, but I believe this quote rings some truth. While everyday is not a fairytale in a relationship, there is still some magic in finding someone who loves you in your worst state or slow dances with you in the kitchen on a Wednesday night.

I would love to hear about your own modern day “fairytales.” Please share below a moment that always brings a smile to your face.
