After celebrating the long weekend roasting marshmallows and swimming at my parent’s house it was difficult to get back into the work week. All I wanted to do was be outside! Thankfully, it was a shortened week so Friday came quickly and I am looking forward to planning Ian’s birthday festivities for next week! I hope you all have a great weekend!

Waterfall Hike

I blame Robin Hood for my obsession with waterfalls (see clip at 1:20), so when I heard there was one six miles from our house I made a point to drive out there over the weekend. While it is not the most impressive waterfall I have ever seen, it was a great way to spend a sunny afternoon and finally check off kissing under a waterfall on my bucket list;)

Getting married is more than just a beautiful wedding. It involves a lifetime of working on a relationship and a few gruesome months of getting all the legal and financial details verified. This week Ian and I opened up a joint checking account along with a credit card. And let me tell you, it was one big headache. I now dread the process of getting my name legally changed and all of the road blocks we will have to overcome. Thankfully, it will all be worth it in the end, but I think every other married woman who decided to change their name will agree that it is one big pain in the butt.

On a happier note, here are a few things that made me smile this week.
