Getting married is more than just a beautiful wedding. It involves a lifetime of working on a relationship and a few gruesome months of getting all the legal and financial details verified. This week Ian and I opened up a joint checking account along with a credit card. And let me tell you, it was one big headache. I now dread the process of getting my name legally changed and all of the road blocks we will have to overcome. Thankfully, it will all be worth it in the end, but I think every other married woman who decided to change their name will agree that it is one big pain in the butt.

On a happier note, here are a few things that made me smile this week.

After potting my plants over the weekend, I was disappointed to have to bring them inside after the temperature dipped. Why won’t spring just get here already?! With the delay of warmer weather, I was caught off guard when I received a reminder to post our wedding invites. I can’t believe  it’s only three months away! Ian and I were in a frenzy scheduling our final round of meetings early this week, so we hope to enjoy some down time over the next few days. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Does anyone else feel like April flew by? I can’t believe it is already May! Ian and I both had hectic weeks at work, so saying we are excited for the weekend would be an understatement. On Saturday I get to cash in part of my birthday present – concert tickets to The 1975. So here is to a weekend of relaxing and lip singing!
