Heart Shaped Brown Sugar Cubes

We’ve officially entered the Valentine’s Day season! I never thought I was a huge fan of this holiday, but as my shopping cart filled up with heart-shaped sweets and flowers I had to be honest with myself – I love celebrating love. Taking that into consideration, it only seemed natural that I bought a heart-shaped silicone mold.

My first gut instinct was to use the mold for mini chocolate hearts, but then I thought I would try something a bit more adventurous – sugar cubes! Initially, I thought I was stepping outside my comfort zone, but sugar cubes are surprisingly simple to make. Never-the-less, having heart-shaped sugar cubes in your cupboard for tea or cocktails can add a bit of brightness to your day.

Multi-tasking for the win! Listening to the inspiring speakers at #therisesummit today while I work on #design projects. Is there anything better to wake up to than the sweet smell of cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven? This recipe takes patience, but the end result is well worth the wait!
